The project in detail

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cully and its historic village is an idyllic place to live. That being said, options for extensions on its buildings are severely limited because of the need to conserve the historic character of the village.

Covered in Corten style Chasselas, the design of this glass extension was carried out in close collaboration with the site’s town planning to ensure both its integration and liveability.

Seen from the Place du Temple, the result is a contemporary design in perfect harmony with its environment.

From the inside, the space brings together the qualities of a shaded terrace with the ambience of a state-of-the-art lounge. As part of the project, the Corten vine was also grafted onto the rear of the building in keeping with the overall design.
